Welcome back to another Scene Report! Here’s all the things you may have missed over the summer and what you can look forward to in the next couple of months.

In Impetus news, we put out Lemmeno’s Move On/Heavens digitally in May. We’ve also helped re-issue A Paramount, A Love Supreme’s EP Crisis Meditations, and are awaiting a shipment of Death By Indie’s new release, Paeonia. While not Impetus releases proper, we’re excited to be able to help bring these releases forward.

We’re still waiting on our copies of Merger’s new 7” to come out. It’s been over a year but we are finally on the last leg of production. Hopefully this means a very early fall release!

We also launched our site, Delaware Underground, a comprehensive site listing all-ages shows in Delaware. If you’d like us to include your show, send over a copy of the flyer and as much information you have regarding the show to shows @ impetusde.com

As always, a reminder that Impetus is still running distribution. Head over to our distro page if you’re interested in distributing any releases with us.

And finally, if you want reminders of when we put these out, and any other scene related news, subscribe to our newsletter here on the top right corner of our website!

Think Machine is currently wrapping up working on their album, and planning to finish it by September (!!!). They’re hoping for a release by the end of the year, and have begun writing for whatever will come after.

Moonflower have taken a bit of an informal hiatus as members have gotten busy with other aspects of life. It’s unclear when/how they’ll be coming back into the fold. In the meantime, you can still pick up copies of their EP Feel It Too on either CD or 7”.

Kindred, a new band featuring Diego, Steven and Evan (formerly and currently of Think Machine, respectively), as well as Declan from Death By Indie, began playing shows back in March. Earlier in the summer, the band got together to record some material with Joni Elfers at her new studio Currylands. They’ve got a short run of shows along the Northeast with Kobika at the end of the month. They hope to have a record out in the fall.

Kobika is doing the aforementioned August run with Kindred in the Northeast. The band is finishing up on two singles with Joni and Diego at Currylands, and will reconvene sometime this fall to work on an unrecorded, but certainly long-awaited, next album.

Lemmeno put out their double single “Move On/Heavens” through Impetus back in May. They have a show 9/16 at Jackson Inn with Candid and Sun Organ, and are further along with a formal record release, but at this time we don’t have any info set.

A Paramount, A Love Supreme had their EP Crisis Meditations re-pressed on Cassette Tape through our imprint Impetus Manufacturing Co. back in June. The EP originally came out in 2019 through Zegema Beach and Larry Records. Other than this news, they’ve been playing shows, and are in the midst of writing their next release which they hope to have out by next spring.

Death By Indie just released their album Paeonia a few days ago, with new t-shirts printed and a CD being done through Impetus Manufacturing Co. They don’t have any shows planned for the next couple of months, but they’ll be staying creatively busy, with some more music videos off the record currently in the works. Jawbone Zine also just did an incredible write-up of the new album that really gets to the core of what it’s about, which you can check out here.

Graver’s Lane has been playing shows throughout the summer, including most recently Death By Indie’s Paeonia Record Release show. They’ve begun writing for the next record, which they hope to record sometime late next year.

Lich Teeth have played a couple shows over the summer, and are eyeing recording a batch of songs sometime this winter. They’re also looking into putting out some t-shirts in the near future.

The Zheroes have a music video for Pointless coming out this fall, as well as a new single release before Halloween.

Grandeur released their debut single Level With Dirt back in April, and have been playing shows throughout the summer. They have two shows at Maker’s Alley this fall: one on 10/1 for M3 Fest, and another on 10/28 with a Lady Gaga Halloween Cover Set. They also plan on recording their first record this fall, and are hoping to tour in support of the record following the release.
